Family
Came across this pic from a year ago and it made me think how this family here at CrossFit Cedar Park has grown. It is pretty awesome, this community you have assembled. We welcome every new face with fired up enthusiasm! We cheer 'em through each wod. We bring them into the family. We have each other's backs in more than just wods. Keep it up CrossFit Cedar Park. You guys Rock!
Operation Get Some
Carson and Wladi wanted to come up with a 1 day competition open to everyone who is a part of the CFCP gang, but especially for anyone who missed out on the I Do The Impossible Challenge (wait till you see the results from that one). So everyone should get in touch with Robin now to sign up. Space is limited and its going to be a tough and amazingly fun experience!

CrossFit Games Hit The Big Time
2010 CROSSFIT GAMES FINALS
Announcing the 2010 CrossFit Games
July 16-18, 2010 at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles
We are very proud to announce that the 2010 CrossFit Games will be held at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA from July 16-18. This is a great step forward for the Sport of Fitness, as we will take full advantage of the 125 acre facility in one of the world's largest metropolises.
The primary competition areas will be the 8,000 seat Tennis Stadium and 8,000 seat Track and Field Stadium (see attached photos). This is where the Summer X-Games were held for several years, so we have lots of freedom to alter the playing fields to fit our needs. Rogue Fitness is fabricating at least two major steel structures that we'll use for standard, and maybe not so standard, CrossFit drills. The Unknown and Unknowable will definitely be a part of the 2010 Games! Check out the video for more information!

One World
TEN WAYS TO BLUNT YOUR ATHLETIC POTENTIAL
- Not having goals, both short term and long term.A fitness regimen with no goals is like driving to a destination you have never been to before without a map or directions. Goals keep you on track. You seek out guidelines and information on how to achieve them. Make those goals!!!
- Avoiding your weaknesses. Why is it everyone and their mother shows up on the days we do some crazy workout, but when weightlifting days or running days come up, people suddenly don’t feel so well??? Weaknesses stem from a series of issues. Suck at an Olympic lift? It is probably tied into deficiencies in the strength and flexibility department. Can’t get through that whole 5k run? You need to eat better and build up your cardio/respiratory endurance. Attack your weaknesses and your strengths will improve.
- Poor nutrition. Food completely controls how your body functions throughout the day. It is the gasoline for your engine. An engine needs gas to run, and it runs better with good gas than it does with crappy gas. Start simple. Make changes in the quality of what you eat then fine tune it from there. Read More
